May 13, 2008, my sister, Karen Deschamps, died in a car accident in Kirtland, Ohio where she and her husband, Randy, were serving a mission for our church. My son, Tom, and I flew to Kirtland the next day to be with my neices, nephew, and brother-in-law, Randy.
Randy was in critical condition, and spent almost 2 months in the hospital in Cleveland, OH. We all came home to Utah for her viewing in St. George, and then a viewing & funeral in Orem, Utah. After the funeral, mom and I went back for 2 weeks to Kirtland to be with Karen & Randy's children, grandchildren, and Randy. Randy was released from the hospital in Cleveland and flew home on July 10 with his family. He will be living with his daughter, Denise, and her family for awhile. Their other daughter, Marie and her family live just a block away, so this will be a wonderful situation for him. The past 2 months have been so sad, and yet we have all experienced wonderful blessings. Once again, we are so grateful for the gospel and our knowledge of eternal families.

In January I went to Little Rock, Arkansas to help my nephew, Dave and his wife, Jen, with their new baby, Elle. She was born with a heart condition. They have a 2 year old, Olive. I loved my time with them. She is now, as of May, off of the oxygen and doing well!

Aunt Irma Judd's Funeral, August, 2007

My Aunt Irma Judd passed away in August. We went to her funeral in Price, Utah. The first picture is of of all my cousins on my mother's side. The second one is of family at dinner the night before the funeral. And the last picture is of my sister, Karen, to my left, my cousin Vickie to the left of Karen, and our other cousin, Robin Miles, on my right.

I visited Brad's first grade class and read Brad Wilcox's book, "Hip, Hip Hooray for Annie McRae". Children love that book. I also love to ride the go-cart Darren & Brad built.
